St. Monica Parish in Garfield Hts. was in full bloom at their Health Fair, “Blossoming into Health, Wellness & Fitness” on Saturday April 1, 2017. Catholic Community Connection cosponsored the event, which served as the kick-off to St. Monica’s new Wellness Ministry. The fair offered health presentations, screenings, interactive health education teaching stations and over 60 exhibitors. Parishioners from St. Monica and cluster parishes, residents of Garfield Heights and neighboring communities were among the 250 participants.
Catholic Cemeteries Association, Light of Hearts Villa, Ohio Catholic Federal Credit Union, St. Augustine Health Ministries, and St. Vincent Charity Medical Center joined Catholic Community Connection in providing health education, service information, and linkage in the areas of finance, health, wellness, social services, senior living and end of life care.
